Comfy Collars for Cats and Dogs
Comfy Collars are used as an alternative to the traditional lampshade collar, to reduce the stress suffered by cats and dogs that are recovering from surgery or minor injuries.
Unlike the elizabethan collar (also known as the e-collar, ecollar, buster collar, surgical collar or space collar) the comfy collar does not restrict the field of view, so your dog or cat is less likely to bash into furniture. It is also much easier for them to see and reach their food bowl. If you've ever seen a dog or cat trying to eat whilst wearing a lampshade collar you will know just how difficult and stressful that can be!
Each comfy collar has a scratch and bite resistant outer layer and a separate inflatable inner tube, with a velcro fastening strap on the outside edge and fabric hoops to secure against your pet’s collar on the inside edge. The top-up valve can be accessed through the outer layer and pushed in so that it stays flush. There is also a zip on the outer layer for easy removal of the inner tube.
The comfy collar is available in five sizes:
- Comfy Collar Size 1 - for cats and toy dogs, 17-22cm / 7-9 inches - £10.00
- Comfy Collar Size 2 - for small dogs, 22-30cm / 9-12 inches - £11.00
- Comfy Collar Size 3 - for medium sized dogs, 30-40cm / 12-16 inches - £12.00
- Comfy Collar Size 4 - for large dogs, 42-55cm / 17-22 inches - £13.00
- Comfy Collar Size 5 - for extra large dogs, 55-80cm / 22-32 inches - £14.00
For in-between sizes, or sizes smaller than Size 1, you may find using the ProCollar gives a better fit.
Our online shop gives you an instant confirmation of stock availability. We will endeavour to despatch all Comfy Collars with the utmost priority and will send you an email confirmation when the Comfy Collar is on its way to you. We recommend measuring your pet's neck before ordering to ensure you have selected the right size of Comfy Collar.
When fitting the Comfy Collar please ensure that your pet is unable to reach any of the affected areas. With any type of collar (including elizabethan collars) if you have a breed with a longer body, such as a daschund, they may be able to reach their hind quarters, and some may be able to reach tips of tails and paws. In these circumstances you may find it preferable to use the Anti-Lick Strip.

It’s lightweight, and doesn’t obstruct the dog’s field of view at all.
